COVID-19 PROTOCOL AND PROCEDURE
Since the beginning of the pandemic, Rhenium Salon and Spa has followed and maintained excellent protocol and procedure to keep our staff and guests as safe as possible. We continue to follow state guidelines and every one of our staff members takes cleanliness and hygiene very seriously. To best serve you and our community, the following protocol and procedures are in-effect and enforced:
Check in and Check out Service
Check in: Please wait in your car and call the salon at 860-651-3535 from your car when you arrive to ensure your stylist is ready. When we are sure your stylist is ready we will let you know when you can enter the salon. Please wear a disposable mask upon entering the building. There is a sanitation station in the hallway consisting of hand sanitizer and gloves. A staff member will greet you upon entering the salon for a quick touchless temperature check. A temperature reading of 99°F or above will not be permitted to enter.
Check Out: Kathy will be waiting for you at the desk with touchless payment options (no cash exchange please) and to reschedule your next visit.
Only guests receiving a scheduled service are allowed in the salon. We can not taking any walk in guests at this time.
Covering all Bases
We have worked hard to rearrange the salon flow to ensure safety for all guests and stylists. All of our stations and shampoo bowls meet the State's criteria to successfully and safely social distance.
Maskless services (such as facials) can still be provided; our staff will wear a mask and face shield for maximum safety.
Sanitation staff will sanitize all stations and sinks prior to your service wearing gloves and a mask. Everything will be changed out after each client.
At each station we will be providing spray disinfectant, hand sanitizers, disposable gloves, disposable capes, and an empty container for all discarded tools that will be disinfected after each client.
Each stylists will have access to a break / rest area that meets social distancing guidelines.
Our boutique is stocked with fun, new items along with all of our Davines haircare products. We are asking to please not touch items at this time, Kathy will be there to assist in any shopping needs...sizes, pricing, product info, etc.
Team Health Check
All staff members will receive a health screening when arriving to work and before leaving, all info will be recorded each day. Any staff member showings signs or symptoms of infection will not be allowed to enter.
We do have a state of the art heating and cooling system in our salon. Salon air is never recycled.
To avoid the potential of spread of airborne germs, we will not be using a blowdryer and round brush to finish your service during phase 1 of reopening. Instead we have several options for finishing your service: a conditioning mask, serums , braids, etc. We also have an infra red light heat lamp for quicker air drying.
Each area will be disinfected after each use.
Our team has gone through an online certification. We are also training on all aspects of our new guidelines.
We have provided the stylist with all new combs, clips, capes, and all other tools that will be in containers with a lid and they will only be taking out what they need.
We are limiting our guest bathroom use to emergencies only at this time. It is equipped with proper sanitation and will be disinfected regularly.
We will not be providing refreshments during this time.
We have reconfigured our salon to allow for social distancing. There will not be a waiting area inside the salon at this time. Please limit items brought into the salon (keys, card and phone if necessary) Please do not bring your children, family or friends.
